The New Movement for Greening Africa
Introduction
Keirere Green Africa Movement [K-GAM] is an Environmental Non-governmental and Non-profit making organization established in 1994 by a group of academicians, community and policy makers in Uganda with a focus on Environmental issues at community and national level such as Environmental governance, climate change, forests and natural resource conservation, chemicals and solid waste management, biodiversity conservation, water and sanitation and related issues to eradiate extreme poverty.
Vision
An empowered, healthy and self sustaining community that focuses on forms and processes of development that do not compromise the integrity of the environment and meets the needs of the most vulnerable.

Towards a partnership for improved sustainable livelihoods of the most vulnerable
Objectives
- To promote sustainable development and public awareness of the need to manage land, air and water resources in a balanced and sustainable manner for the present and future generations.
- To involve the people in the formulation and implementation of development plans and programs which promote and maintain the greening of the environment
- To ensure equitable access to quality planting materials to secure food production for improved household food security
